Privacy Policy

Seed Capital is an accompaniment programme run by iLEAD Global. This policy covers the Seed Capital website and the member application: everything from the moment you create an account to the moment your financing is repaid and closed.

It does not cover what a partner provider does with information you give them directly, outside our platform.

Everything below is either something you type in, something you upload, or a record the platform creates as your financing progresses. Identity and contact details:

• your first and last name, email address and phone number, and a WhatsApp number if you give one

• your postal address — street, city, region or state, postal code and country

• your date of birth

• your preferred language, and how and when you would rather be contacted (email, phone, WhatsApp or SMS, and the best time of day)

• a profile photo, if you add one

Your situation and household:

• your marital status

• your occupation and your employer

• the people who depend on you — their name, their relationship to you, and their contact details where you provide them

Documents you upload:

• a government-issued identity document, for identity checks

• proof of your tie to the iLEAD Global network — a membership, employment, school or dispensation record

• proof of payment for your own contribution and for each instalment you settle

• your signed financing agreement

Your financing itself — created by the platform as your file moves:

• your request: the programme and term you asked for, its price, your own contribution and the amount financed

• the decision on your file, its date, and the reason recorded for it

• your contract: rate, monthly payment, instalment schedule and start and end dates

• every payment you make and every instalment that falls due, including anything paid late

• the receipts, statements and schedules we generate for you

Technical information:

• a session cookie that keeps you signed in, and a cookie that remembers your language

• whether you are currently online in the app, so your adviser knows when you are reachable

• a record of who changed what on your file and when, which we keep for audit purposes

• aggregate page-view and page-speed measurements for the site

We do not ask for your salary figure, and we do not run a credit check or calculate a credit score. We do not take card or bank details in the app: instalments are recorded by an operator against the proof of payment you upload.

Each category above serves one of five purposes, and nothing is collected without one:

• to confirm who you are and that you belong to the iLEAD Global network — your identity document and network proof

• to size a programme you can genuinely repay — your situation, your household and the term you ask for

• to run your financing — your contract, your schedule, your payments and your receipts

• to stay in touch about your file — your contact details and your stated preferences

• to meet our legal and audit obligations, and to protect the platform against fraud — the change history and technical records

We do not use your information to advertise to you, and we do not build marketing profiles from it.

Inside Seed Capital, your file is visible to the staff who work on it: the adviser assigned to you, the team that reviews documents and decides, and the finance team that records payments. Access is limited by role, and every change is attributed to the person who made it.

Outside Seed Capital, information goes to:

• the partner provider delivering your programme — Texas Community Farm, Dispensation Investment Group or an iLEAD Global school — and only what they need to deliver it

• our identity provider, which holds your sign-in credentials

• our electronic signature provider, when you sign your financing agreement

• our hosting and file-storage providers, which run the platform and hold the documents you upload

We do not sell your data, we do not rent it, and we do not share it with advertisers.

Seed Capital operates across Africa and the United States, and our providers run infrastructure in both. Your information may therefore be processed outside the country you live in. Wherever it goes, the same protections in this policy apply to it, and we only work with providers that commit to them.

We keep your file for as long as your financing is running, and afterwards for as long as the law requires us to keep financial and contractual records — typically ten years from the date your contract closes.

If your request never becomes a financing, we keep it for two years so you can pick it up again or ask us why it was declined, and then we delete it.

Your connection to the platform is encrypted. Documents you upload go straight to secured storage. Staff access is restricted by role and every change to your file is logged with the name of the person who made it and the date.

No system is perfect. If a breach ever affects your information, we will tell you and the relevant authority without undue delay.

You can ask us at any time to:

• show you everything we hold about you, and give you a copy

• correct anything that is wrong or out of date

• delete your information, where we are not required to keep it

• stop contacting you on a channel you would rather we did not use

• explain any decision taken on your file

Write to support@ileadglobalinstitute.com and we will answer within thirty days. You will never be penalised for exercising any of these rights.

We use only the cookies the platform needs to work: one that keeps you signed in and one that remembers your language. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies, and we do not share cookie data with third parties for their own purposes.

We also measure page views and page speed in aggregate, to see which pages are slow and which are useful. Those measurements are not tied to your name.

Seed Capital is for adults. You must be at least eighteen to open an account, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone younger.

Where you list a child as a dependant, we hold only their name, their relationship to you and any contact detail you choose to give — never a separate account.

When we change this policy we update this page and, if the change materially affects you, we tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use Seed Capital after that means you accept the updated policy.
